Salam Ramadan Event ~ FVAMC

     On February 22nd, I attended a Salam Ramadan event held at the Farmington Valley American Muslim Center. This event consisted of a lecture/ talk followed by a delicious meal provided by the community members and an invitation to sit in on one of their Friday prayer sessions. This event was very informative and enlightening. I learned so much about Ramadan and the Muslim culture in general. This was my second time coming to this mosque, and I have always been amazed by how they open their lives and beliefs to the public to share and educate on their lifestyles; it is truly inspiring. I have always loved learning about different religions and cultures, and this deeper dive into the Muslim culture was no different. It provided me with a better understanding of Muslim practices and how exactly Ramadan works.
